I tested with FTDNA for mothers line and Ancestry.com for autosomal.  It seems my English female ancestors were likely Sephardic although I can only come up with a woman who was born in Ely, Cambridgeshire around 1795.  I know who she married but have only her first name.  I'm wondering if her father might have worked at Cambridge.  Most Sephardic people would have lived in London.  Just wondering if anyone has any ideas.  Thank you.

I also have through DNA testing Sephardic ancestry.  Does anyone know of any families living in Cambridgeshire around 1790 or earlier.  It looks like a gggg grandmother was.  Thank you

Rose Anna Ward was the the daughter of Jane Ward.  According to her birth certificate, there was no father.  Jane's father was Thomas Ward and her mother was a woman named Ann.  I'm also looking for the same people.  Thomas married a second time after Ann passed away.

Thomas Ward's first marriage was to a woman called Ann.  He has two children named Jane and William Ward.  I'm a descendant of Jane, her daughter was named Rose Anna Ward who I believe was illegitimate.  I have her birth certificate.  It looks like we might be looking for more information on Ann who was Thomas' first wife.

Hello
I'm new to the group and very interested in finding about about my Ward family who are mostly from Ely. I've been able to trace my Ward family back to around 1700 with a gentleman named Joseph.  I'm looking to find out more information about my ancestor Thomas Ward born in 1789 in Fenstanton.  He married a woman name Ann and there doesn't seem to be a surname for the lady. I can't find a marriage record either.  They had a child named Jane who was born in 1820 in Ely.  Any help would be greatly appreciated
