Thanks Comberton,No ,I did not know they lived in Leicestershire ,Blackpool (fylde district) i presume where  Frank senior died  in 1906,Talking about Frank senior can't find his birth in Hyde in 1860 so just taking a leap of faith I have plumped for father Edwin Hall b 1820 in Newton and Sophia b 1822

Thanks Comberton,Sounds like it could be the man we are looking for as he was born in Petersfield.Taken his Mum's maiden name then ,whereabouts in Flintshire in 1939 please and is he married.

BumbleB,You  have the correct one,I know what happened to Hannah Sophia Hall she married a Andrew Hughes in Rhyl,I still cannot find what happened to Ellen after  her husband Frank Edwin Hall died in 1906 ,also her son another Frank Edwin Hall  born 1892 disappears from the records

Hello again ,Does the BMD hold all the marriage records as I have tried searching for a record and it does not seem to exist.Their names were Frank Edwin Hall born 1860 in Hyde Cheshire and her name was  Ellen Ward  born 1866 in Burntwood Staffordshire .Frank dies in 1906 in Fylde district .

Thanks for all the replies ,I could of sworn I read on a newspaper that she was a casualty of the bombing in ww2,however she is not in the ancestry lists-and I am only going on memory about reading the newspaper,

Hello ,Searching for the death of Helen Mather in 1940 in Edgbaston Birmingham,I think she died in an air raid but cannot find the link to the newspaper reports anymore and the computer has crashed with the records on it,Should of backed up the records on another program!
