I'm not sure if you're still researching this but a booklet on eighteenth century Tuam was released for Heritage Week this year called 'Beauford's Tuam, 1787' which gives details on various merchants and industries in the town at that time.

Yes, while some of the Eyres certainly were / are 'RC', the majority in more recent times indeed, the original Eyre settlers were 'EC' - Anglican, and 'sakdolan' is right that they are buried in the local EC cemetery located at the gates of Eyrecourt House. The inscriptions are available online, just search 'Eyre’s church, Eyrecourt'. As  also so rightly said, it's a village just full of history.

If it's any addition, there are various Dalys listed in the 'Loughrea 1891' book by Steve Dolan which includes a map of that town in 1791 and details on various inhabitants. The names listed include Denis Bowes Daly (x2), Hyacinth Daly, and Anthony Daly.
