« on: Thursday 01 May 25 13:20 BST (UK)  »
I would like some help as I can’t read the place of birth on a register of births.

When and where born: Fourth November 1922, Military ??????? Hospital

The child’s father was based in Plymouth with the Royal Berkshire Regiment

Thank you, it does seem likely they were Esther’s siblings

Dublin / Esther Agnes Kavanagh

I am trying to research Esther Agnes Kavanagh b.1896 and her parents John Kavanagh and Catherine O'Loughlin / McLoughlin. Any information would be useful but I would particularly like to know if the following records exist:

1. Esther on the 1901 census
2. A marriage record for John and Catherine
3. Any other children John and Catherine may have had

These are the records I do have:

Esther
1. Birth Certificate [original copy] - Esther Agnes Kavanagh born 3 September 1896 at 1 Repeal Place, Dublin [Dublin South]. Father: John Kavanagh, Father's Occupation: Labourer, Mother "Kate" Kavanagh formerly O'Loughlin

2. Baptism - Esther Agnes Kavanagh, 11 September 1896 at St Andrews, Westland Row, Dublin [Catholic, Dublin South].
Parents John Kavanagh & Catherine McLoughlin
[Transcriptions of the Baptism Register incorrectly state Esther was born 3 January]

3. Marriage - Esther married Frederick Buckner at St Andrews Church 6 June 1920

John
1. John was originally in the Irish Militia before joining the British Army. He died at the Royal Hospital Chelsea on 12 January 1930 aged 76 making his year of birth about 1854

Catherine
1. Death - A letter was written to the family from Our Lady's Hospice for the Dying, Harold's cross, Dublin to inform them that Catherine Kavanagh had died at the hospice on 23 June 1897.

2. Death Registration - The Civil Registration Death Index gives Catherine's age as 26 meaning she was born around 1871

Thanks, you’re probably right as there was nowhere to note anything else

Thank you - it’s obvious when you know what it says
