Yes sorry everyone my typo. You are right. She is born Rachel Stewart in 1783 in Easington, Yorkshire, her parents are Daniel Stewart, mother Rachel.  No maiden name for the mother. Cannot find a marriage for them anywhere, I've checked FindMyPast, Ancestry, Family search, Free Reg and others, nothing.

Hi
I've found a possible birth for my 5th great grandmother on Find my past born 1883 in Easington village (near Saltburn on Sea), Yorkshire to a Daniel Stuart and Rachel. Can anyone please find any other children of this couple and a possible marriage. Easington is only about 10 miles from Guisborough and over 1 mile from Loftus. Many thanks.

Northumberland Lookup Requests / Turnbull family Corsenside parish
« on: Thursday 21 August 25 19:14 BST (UK)  »
Hi I'm researching my Turnbull ancestors on Corsenside. I have Mabel Turnbull born 1756 in Elsdon the daughter of Culthbert Turnbull and Esther Forster.  I know that Cuthbert married Esther in 1751 and that they were living in Whetstone House. The Forsters were a prominent farming family in the area. i've found a will for an Ann Turnbull on Corsenside at West Woodburn but cannot find a birth for Cuthbert. Anyone got any clues as to his origins?

Hi
Yes thankyou I have this, problem is I have nothing else to go on only occupation. The marriage certificate for his daughter Elizabeth, mentions a John Brown witness. I need to find out who he is. I need a copy of the original baptism image but only the archives will have it.

Baptism record says Joseph is Husbandsman, birth cert says Agricultural labourer,  marriage cert for Eliz in 1858 says Husbandsman. Think 1871 census more likely to be him. I've also found that a joseph Brown from Bedlington was in the Merchant Navy in 1845 and says born 1814, no other details
.

Hi
I already have Elizabeth's marriage certificate and all the baptisms for Joseph's born in neighbouring parishes adjacent to Morpeth, Bothal, Bedlington etc. The Baptism record for Elizabeth says that the father is 'of Bedlington'. The marriage certificate has a witness that appears to be a John Brown so this is either a father or brother. so may narrow things down slightly. The 1871 census has a Joseph living with his cousin Thomas so may be another avenue to explore. DNA is also a good option, may be the only one!

Need help with finding the 'correct' joseph Brown father of my 3rd great grandmother Elizabeth Brown, born 1840 in Cramlington to Catherine Mather and a Joseph Brown. They were not married, and in 1841 census living with Catherine's parents George and Elizabeth Mather. Birth certificate says Joseph was an agricultural labourer, marriage cert says husbandsman. Would also like to find a transcript of Elizabeth's marriage to Cuthbert Ritson at All Saints Newcastle May 24th 1858. I've tried the bishops transcripts and free reg, durhamm recs online, ancestry and find my past so actual copy of the image of the parish record. If anyone related to Joseph Brown or Elizabeth please get in touch!
