Hi everyone.  First I want to say thank you for your help and guidance.  I have just been in contact with Louise 'Buster' Mounce's great granddaughter (Beverly's daughter) in Arizona.  She confirmed that Florenda had a child of her own named Cheree.  Evidently Cheree researched and tracked Myrtle down in AZ and took Florenda to visit.  I am not sure of the year that that took place or Cheree's last name at that time.  I am still working diligently and will know more soon I hope.  I do know that Florenda and Cheree were of great surprise to all when they showed up in Globe AZ lol

The jury came back in 15 minutes with a non guilty verdict.  That was based on the testimony of little children.  In 1921 who knows what tomfoolery took place in the court system.  Thomas is still listed as Florenda's father on her birth certificate.  With all that being said, the only real way to know if Florenda is our great grandfathers child is to hope she had children and someone on her line took a dna that would match up to our Merrigan line.  It is something I can't let go until we know 100% for sure.  Also, I just had an email from Myrtle's first husband's son (from a different mom) who met Florenda a few times.  Waiting on more info from him.
