Hello Again Skippy,

Yippee  :)

I have found Back Ashley Street on the Alan Godfrey map of Manchester (New Cross) 1849.

It is at the top of the map on the left hand side off
Rochdale Road.

Hello Skippy,

I do apologise for not answering you sooner, I have been
unavoidably absent for a while.

Thank you for all your efforts on my behalf, I really appreciate it.

I now have a marriage certificate for Hannah Culloden,
she married at the Collegiate Parish Church in 1838,
the groom's place of residence at the time of marriage
was Wood Street.   I don't know if this information helps
at all.   His occupation was Silk Weaver.

Thank you again.

Regards,
June Marie

The Lighter Side / Re: Nice Names !
« on: Saturday 06 November 04 15:05 GMT (UK)  »
Wouldn't be Cherry would it Mrs. Lizzie, if so, it's a nice name in my book.

I nearly called my son Christopher Robin  :o but thankfully my husband had more sense.  Well I was very young  ;D

I hated my name at school and at 8 years of age started a new school, I registered myself as Felicity.  My mother and
aunt went to a parent's evening and when the teacher
referred to me as Felicity they looked at each other, I
just wished the floor would open up  -  I had some
explaining to do when we got home

Recently found an Amelia on my father's side, I like
that.

Appreciate your offer very much Skippy and thanks.  :D

I have a Hannah Culloden living in 7 Bk. Ashley Street
in 1838.   It would be very helpful to me if her family
just so happened to be in that street in 1841.
Her father was John.
I am not totally certain, but believe Bk. Ashley St., was
around the Withy Grove area if that helps.

'Tis John's place of birth I am most interested in, so
fingers crossed.

Best Regards,
June Marie
