Yorkshire (West Riding) / Hart/Price Castleford
« on: Tuesday 09 November 10 18:56 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to find the parents (or relatives) of Jean Hart of lock lane Castleford born 1935
We know she was the youngest of 13 and her mother. who's maiden name was Price, died while she was young. Her father was still alive in about 1957 and was the landlord of a pub (though no idea which one or where)
We have found 10 of the children who's birth range from Herbert G Hart in 1914
to Jean in 1935. i don't know where the other 3 children fit into it.

This is a search for a family member who cannot afford to buy certificates, so I am a bit stuck. any information welcome.
Thank you.

Yorkshire (North Riding) / James Green of littlebeck
« on: Monday 09 October 06 16:49 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find any info on James Green's family background. I have his decedents from the time he married Elizabeth McNeil from Littlebeck Nr. Whitby around 1797..ish.
also any idea if I would be able to find any information about their daughter Jane's dates she was in Whitby workhouse? sometime between 1829 and 1851. I know she left sometime between 1841 and 1851 census, and where she was after that. but don't know how long she lived in there. :)
thanks

I have just phoned to order a birth certificate for the Oswestry Mary. But they  only do it by post and you just get a recorded message. so it would be a week at least until I find out if this is the right Mary.
I will send for the marriage certificate though. because the chances of a Job Edwards marrying a Mary from Lyanymynech just before the first child was born also named Mary seem pretty conclusive?
