Thank you Trish. I was hoping to get a reply from Steve Hyde in Canberra,as it looks like there could well be a connection. We went to look at the Arthea Farmhouse in Tregare last week, and all the other properties that this family seemed to own at some point.All I can do is hope that he might see this.

Elizabeth Augusta Bowyer married Joseph Hoyle in York on the 5th December 1854
Her Father was Edward Bowyer and mother Isabella Theakston. Yes his first wife Mary died, I think in childbirth.
Edward's Father was John Bowyer and mother Minerva Perrin.
I am confused about the marriage of Edward to Isabella Theakston,as I have them getting married at St Georges, Southwark, London. Even more confusing is a family marriage notice for Hereford.
Is this family related to you?

I have been doing a bit of research on The Bowyer's from Raglan/Usk for my brother in law.
He is related to Elizabeth Augusta Bowyer, who lived at Broom House.
Elizabeth married a Joseph Hoyle, and subsequently moved to Ripon Yorkshire.

I came across this post while researching the Bowyers. My brother in law is the Great Grandson of Elizabeth Augusta Bowyer from Broom House Usk. She was the daughter of Edward Bowyer and Elizabeth Theakston. I am very interested in where your family come into the Tree.
He has photos of Elizabeth, and other members of the family I think.
Any information that you have we would be interested in.
