In the 1911 census Anthony and Bridget Padden have been married sixteen years with three children born and living. There are only two children named on the form,Patrick (10) and Mary A (3).                                                                           Delia may have been their third child. That would make her a niece to Patrick the soldier.                    Anne Padden, Patrick's mother may have gone to America , She might be listed on ship's manifests. If so her home address might be given.

A memorial to the dead from the Erris area in world war 1  was erected in Belmullet last November. They have the names of over fifty soldiers on it.  They have very little information on some of them and were seeking  further info and names of others they may have missed. At the time somebody posted on facebook that Patrick Padden's parents were Anthony and Bridget (Monaghan) Padden of Inniskea South Island. I have been searching for this post again but can't find it. However i  checked the 1901 census and according to it  this Patrick Padden was born in 1901. That would leave him only 14 years in 1915, so that can't be right. Maybe they got mixed up, Anne, Patrick's mother may have been a sister of  Anthony Padden.
