Many thanks, D.Jackson

Was Mary Mitchell baptised at Great Brickhill? I wonder if Edward Mitchell and Mary were also married there?

Australia / Undertakers of Hobart records - Clark Bros.
« on: Tuesday 06 June 17 11:15 BST (UK)  »
I was wondering if anyone had access to a copy of the index to the Clark Bros. funeral records 1910-1928, specifically the burial of Susannah Hanson who died 13 July 1912.

I ordered the death certificate which states the Clark Bros as the undertaker, but does not list the burial. If someone could possibly let me know the burial details, it would be a big help.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Sussex Lookup Requests / Re: Robert Thomas COLEMAN - 1820 birth around Burwash
« on: Tuesday 27 September 16 14:43 BST (UK)  »
Unfortunately I have made no further progress with this line of the family tree.
This seems quite elusive. Details that I do now:
- most of the children birth certs verify Burwash as place of birth
- believed to have arrived in NSW in the early 1840 according to death cert
- no evidence of being a convict.

Sorry I cannot be of ore help

Thanks

Australia / Re: Beauvant/Bovault in Colyton around 1900

Thanks Leanne, that surname combination was not one that I tried, perhaps Christian and Ann did not know how to spell it themselves.

Mary's maiden name was McLaughlan. I had assumed William Robinson and wife Isabella were the only ones to come to Australia from Londonderry in 1841.

According to the above mentioned court case were Ann Beauvant claims to be his sitter in law. I also found a reference to William Robinson's wife AND his mother being buried in St Mary Cemetery - so perhaps more of the family than I though came over to Australia at a later date

Australia / Beauvant/Bovault in Colyton around 1900
« on: Friday 18 April 14 12:50 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for family Christian and Mary Beauvant/Bovault.

They were in front of Penrith Police court regarding a fence dispute, recoded in the Nepean Times - 13 May 1899.

Within this news article recounting the court case, Mary Bovault is married to Christian Bovault, a poultry farmer and she lists William Robinson (my ancestor) as her brother in law. She also lists that she came from America 43 years prior (1856).

According to NSW BDM (record ordered) Mary died in 1901 in St Mary NSW.

I was wondering if anyone else has any information on this family or surname

Thanks

Australia / Re: Do you recognise these historic houses?

Another very similar one in Kooyongkoot Rd, Hawthorn. We may never know where they are located, but then again someone may stumble across this topic and say "hey, that's my house!"

Thanks all who have contributed.
