Hi Also new to site.
Am also a descendant of George and Ann. Down through Isobel... Hannah Smith, Phoebe Godfrey and beyond. Keen to find out as much as possible.
Was very excited to see the news article in Courier Mail / Anglicare . I went to the site on Maudsland Road today and stood near the markers - outlining the area George is reportedly buried. Very exciting if it is him - I have trekked through both cemeteries in Coomera looking for him to no avail. There was a photo on Ancestry.com.au - not sure if it is verified but it claims to be George Jame Donald.... . Look forward to following this thread! And finding others from the down line.

Hi New to Roots.... I am a descendant of George Donald and Ann Johnson. My family were down line through Isobel.
Several generations down. I now live witnin 10min of the area in which he lived out his last days. Keen to share and learn
