This is direct lineage to the Crompton/Crumpton family Adam Crompton1665-1743 M Elizabeth Eastop -Adam Crompton 1714 M Sarah Cox -William Crumpton 1736 Richard Crumpton1753-1825 M Marcene Tannot in 1780- Shem Crumpton 1785-1857 m Elizabeth Hodgkiss 1781-1857-Michael Hodgkiss Crumpton 1811-1843 M Elizabeth Pearsall1814-1896 Michael Crumpton 1840-1930 m Mary AnnMillward . It looks as though the Crompton turned to Crumpton as perhaps a Birmingham pronounciation.

Hello Carol the father of Shem Crumpton was Richard Crumpton 1775 -1885 his wife was Marcenia Tannot. I have more of the Crumpton history if you request. Best wishes Dave C
