By coincidence Ive returned to this family line today, after some time.  Yes Melie (Amelia), Jimmy, Natty born 1921 (Nathaniel), Volie , Gilder (Gilderoy).  Also  William, Jimmy and Rhoda. Parents were William Smith and Dinah Hoskins. Dinah's parents were Mosiah and Mary Ann Hoskins, nee Davies.  Mary Ann lived by my great great granny Mary Ann Roberts in Aberkenfig, near Bridgend at one point. Mosiah's parents Thomas Boswell and Esther Hodgkins/Hoskins.

The name Johns was used because Esther Hoskins (born 1881 and died 1962 in the Forest of Dean, daughter of Mosiah and Mary Ann) , married William Johns. William died at Ash cottage in Trowgreen.
hi I think this is my dads family ,natty was my grandad and he had 11 kids ,job ,Amos ,Mary ,cybil ,Herbert are the names I no .
Natty smith was with Cassie ?and natty smiths mum was Bella davies ? Do you have these names in your smiths ?

Hi, this is the same family I'm looking for but I'm trying to concentrate on the haymes, hames, haynes family, James born 1890 in stone, staffordshire to Catherine hames, her father listed as either Michael or Billy, I cant find any information going further back, Catherine lived with Jack, Smith or booth,  she listed herself as Catherine Smith in the 1911 census, but she never married, the children took the name haymes or Smith at times, any chance of any help please, overwhelmed with this x

Hello All,

It just might be a factor that the Glos. Davies' of this era, are very often actually Smiths.

My Grt Grt Grandad, Natty Smith, married Anne Davies and had loads of kids, many of them took the name Davies.

This family is heavily represented in the Glos. region.

Hi Jerry.

Apparently there used to be a small wooden cross with Brass Plate.
SPIES ELLA MATCHETT died 5th Dec. 1998 aged 79 years.

Abram was also buried there in 1990, Grave C534 but no stone sadly.

You could always ask the Kettering Cemetery Office if they could mark the Grave for you at least.

The number I use for the Office is 01536 525722

Sandy
thank you for helping, Yes its sad how they haven't got Head stones,I will look into having two done for them, seems like family have forgotten them,I will never forget were I come from and memories I have of my nan,
Can head stone still go on after all this time?
Jerry

Tagging on the end here.

Ella Spies Matchett is buried in Desborough Cemetery grave E352 having passed away in 1998.

I have a lot of graves of the cemetery so I will see if I can find it later although there are a lot missing.
