What is the phrase being legally mean on old marriage records.
Is it just above the age of consent ?
Just come across it for my 5th times Great Grandmother.

My mistake it was Herbert Phillips not Benjamin who married Elizabeth Rawlinson
in 1918 at Chorlon-cum-Hardy Register Office in Manchester  Lancashire
I don' know what the E. M means in William Phillips name.
The Phillips were a local Monkton residents going back to the 1790s.
Got Mary and Herbert offspring but not one of them is is searching.

Pembrokeshire / Margaret Howard nee Phillips of Pembroke Dock

I am trying to trace relatives of my Late Wife.
They are Mary E Phillips 1920; William e m Phillips 1924 and Margaret Phillips 1922.
Mary E Phillips married a Harold E Howard .
Did either Margaret or William E.M, ever marry.
They live in Pembroke, Pembroke Dock or Monkton.
They were the Children of Benjamin Phillips of Monkton and Elizabeth Rawlinson born in Manchester.
They meet I believe when Benjamin was in Hospital in the First World War and Elizabeth was one of the nurses looking after him.
