Ireland / Re: Hugh Henry of County Monaghan & County Antrim
« on: Sunday 25 June 23 01:50 BST (UK)  »
I am also looking for the Henry family from County Tyrone, Ireland.  Hugh Henry (about 1837-1903) and his brother William Henry (about 1831-1914) emigrated to Australia in 1856.
According to their marriage and death certificates their father was John Henry and mother Margaret Warnock.
Hugh Henry born Newmills, Co Tyrone and William Henry born Malines, Co Tyrone.
Both records on the brothers show that John Henry was a farmer then publican.
Unfortunately I can not find any Irish records.

Suffolk / Re: GOLDSMITH/GLANFIELD Families

I have recently started researching the Neville-Goldsmith side of my family and have come across these old postings re: Goldsmith/Glanfield families.  Was anyone able to find the connection?
I have an Edward Adams Neville married Hannah Ann Goldsmith on 3 Sept 1866 in Epping, they later resided at 61 Maynard Road, Walthamstow Essex, died 1910 and 1914 in Essex.  Hannah's father is listed on the marriage certificate as Jeremiah Goldsmith, gardener. Census records show Hannah was born in Melton, Suffolk born about 1850.

Hi Marg I am Monica's eldest daughter, born in Townsville QLD.  Auntie Barb was the youngest girl of Jack Neville, she  was the one who lived in WA, unfortunately my mum is now the last of his kids.  Pat is my aunt and the boys my cousins who I haven't seen for a few years as I live in the top end and don't get south much.  I remember as a kid of about 7ish visiting auntie Fay I think at a pub they once ran on the coast.
Cheers Jan

Hi  I have just started researching this side of the family, even though I grew up knowing Jack, my mother never spoke of her mother, I found news of the very public divorce on Trove and have the marriage certificate which is why I know her maiden name, as well as the newspaper clippings, but other than that I don't have anything.  I suspected she remarried given the divorce petition mentions her affair but not the name of the other party.
I was quite surprised to read this old post and it can only be my grandmother May Arnott/Neville, Jack was NSW Police until he retired and my uncle Jim lived in Melbourne, died recently.  Any chance you recall second husband or parents details?
cheers J

Just came across this post.  May was my grandmother married to my grandfather, but disappeared from her children's lives forever when she left and they got divorced.
