Hi there, just saw this post.  Sadly I haven't been able to find anything about James (your Williams brother) beyond the marriage certificate...which doesn't give his middle name or his actual date of birth.  The father George was a farmer on Bluebog Farm...and I just found an old 1800's map that shows that Bluebog farm!  We're headed over for a visit in 2019 and I thought it would be cool to visit the farm, or at least where it was, since there were quite a few generations listed associated with it.  I also found an old 1800's newspaper 'estate sale' notification which listed the estate and all the farms attached (Bluebog was one of them).

Aberdeenshire / James Robb (b~1782) and Isabella Stewart (b~1780).

I've only been able to trace my husband's family back to James Robb b~1782, my husband's 5xg grandfather.  Wondering if anyone can help me get farther?  They lived in Rathen, Aberdeenshire and it looks like James and maybe a few of the younger generations were farmers at Bluebog Farm.  This James apparently married Isabella Stewart (b~1780, her parents were Charles Stewart and Margaret Grant).  I've not been able to find birth, marriage or death certificates for James and Isabella.  James and Isabella had my husband's 4xg grandfather George Robb (b1810) who married Elizabeth Campbell.  I might have found James in the 1841 census but Isabella isn't on it.  She may have died by then.  The 1841 census has my husband's ancestor George as 25 and a Christian as 20, but there are some more that are aged 10, 15 and even 3 (has a last name Barber listed so might not be relate) so James may have remarried?

Hello, Wendy Robb here, also live in Canada.  Looks like your William Robb is the brother of my husband's great-grandfather Alexander Campbell Robb (b 1869, father James Robb (b 1839, married Jane West))...making William a great-uncle.  Alexander C and another brother Daniel both appear to have died in Ontario in 1929 and 1923 respectively.
