Many thanks to you both - as you say Nottsgirl1, I need to see the grave register for the cemetery to get the info I am after.

Again many thanks

Thanks for this Carol - this is the John Radley and Caroline Elizabeth Sheppard I'm looking for.  Didn't think there would be a MI for James and Martha.

Possibly the Nottinghamshire Archives may hold burial records for St.Johns so will give them a ring.

Thanks again

Thanks Carol

I'm looking for the graves of James Radley & Martha Chevins and their daughter Sarah Radley.  Also their son John Radley and his wife Caroline Sheppard.   I know that these 5 members of the family are buried at St.Johns and there is a headstone for John and Caroline but unsure if there is one for the other 3.

Just thought it would be useful if I could find the exact locations of the graves prior to my visit.

Nottinghamshire / Perlethorpe Cemetary-Burial Locations

Can anyone tell me who I need to contact to find burial locations in Perlethorpe cemetary.

I am planning a visit to the area shortly and am hoping to visit graves of ancestors buried there in the 1850's and 1890's.

Any help much appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi Norrie

Ben 352 William Laing and Isabella Berry are 'my Laings'.  Would appreciate seeing the info you have for them when you have time.

Many thanks

Sandy

You are a star!!  I think this is my Alexander Mathewson I am looking for.  His mother's maiden name is Geddes so this certainly fits.

Thank you so much for the information - given me a great lead.

Thanks again to you Derek also.   If I can be of any help for any Scottish research that any of you need please let me know.

Regards
Sheenie

Hi Derek

Thanks for this - you've been most helpful.  No hits for A Mathewson's wife I'm afraid and I know that the 1837 death is not the A Mathewson I'm looking for as he and his wife were married 1838 in Scotland.

There is the remote possibility that the 1891 death of A Mathewson is the one I'm looking for ( death age of 79 years is a bit unlikely but I suppose still worth considering).

Cheers
Sheenie
