Essex Lookup Requests / Re: Sarah Wells embrodery

b/c States Sarah's father was John Cole, servant. He was in Halstead in census 1841, age 15. He married a Sarah and moved away to Clare then Colchester see census's. Richard stayed in Halstead, by 1851 Ann died and Richard's brother died, brothers wife and child staying as lodgers. Later they married and had more children.
One thing I would like to know, after having Sarah with John Cole did Ann go back to Richard and have Ann born c 1844. As in 1851 census.

Message from GRO saying b/c not found. Either date of birth is not as on the embroidery or place of birth not Halstead but only registered there. Have applied for a new certificate only specifying date of birth and name, place of birth anywhere in England.

The only information  I  have are the dates,

looked on free BMD and found no exact match for birth and death in the correct quarters.

Essex, Halstead provided the best match

Unless the birth date is an exact match the b/c is no help to find the parents

I have a Japanese Picture that has a label on the back saying it was framed by "The House of Corot" 13 The Broadway, West Norwood SE27. Probably 1890-1910 ish. I would like to know when this firm traded as it will help date the picture. I have not found any reference to "The House of Corot" on the net. If possible I would like the name of the owner of the business.
