Any of the children's birth certificates will also show his age and place of birth, death certificates are too unreliable.

Debra  :)

I might try this as well. He had a heap of children.
Thanks Michelle

Are you talking about Joseph Mack (no Liddle) death registered Moulamein (parents listed as Joseph and Mary A).
https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/137319255?searchTerm=%22Joseph%20Mack%22

Aged 64 in 1927. He was married - do you have his marriage certificate? That would give you a better idea of his age/parentage as the information would be direct from him.

Yes this is correct person I am 100% the Liddle was dropped and he became Joseph Mack - His father was Joseph Mack Liddle
No I didn't have the marriage as it was completely unavailable but have not checked and it is available so I think I should get this.

Thanks so much for your assistance.

Hi and thanks to everyone who has been assisting.
I did reply BUT I don't know whether they posted or not as I am not familiar on how to use.
SO I am rewriting all the answers I wrote.

Firstly HUGE Thanks

Thanks Josephine this explains the name of Joseph Mack

HI Dundee and Chrissie - SO it was presumed it was 1863 Joseph Mack was born BUT this is only a presumption on the death cert as no one really knew the age of this Joseph - it was guess work from the person reporting. But yes this is the person/family I was looking for but have now realised the name Liddle was dropped here.

Thanks Dundee for pointing out the 1852 ship was not correct Liddle  - I had wondered when I seen the 1852 and went don't think this is correct. Sure it was a bit later. One problem sorted. But yes other brother came out so I will look into this and this explains about two he was in Edinburgh in 1846 & 1857 as it was just after this he is documented in Bendigo/Eaglehawk.
So thank goodness cleared up.

Gaffy

The sensis in the correct family
SIddle is th eLiddle family
Now there is Joseph Liddle SSC
then Joseph Mack Liddle/Liddell - accountant a
AND in Australia Joseph Mack the son who dies in Barham NSW - just up the road from Bendigo.

Joseph Mack Liddle also did go to Perth in Scotland for a bit to practice accountancy so that is also correct.

Josey
He did have a son who was on way to Australia BUT died on the boat.

Thanks again for any help this is all appreciated. Cheers MIchelle

In the last week I have broken down a brick wall of an ancestor
I discovered that
Joseph Mack IS ACTUALLY (I am 100%)
IS
Joseph Mack Liddle
BORN: June 19 1825  Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland
DIED: Mar 3 1861 (at age 35)  Bendigo, Victoria, Australia

NOW Joseph Mack went under Liddle name when traveling out to Australia with wife and son mary Jane & Joseph (on Death cert it was stated Joseph in Ballarat but was a toddler and born in Scotland I think??)
I had though they came on  1852 on Nepaul BUT thanks to a great person it is pointed out wrong people.

In Edinburgh he was a solicitor as was his dad Joseph Liddle S.S.C.
Both had the same name = Joseph Liddle and son is Joseph Mack Liddle

Does anyone have any information on these people please and WHY would Joseph drop the Liddle off his name and become Joseph Mack out here in Australia??

He was buried as Joseph Liddle in Bendigo BUT when in newspaper it appeared as Joseph Mack son of Joseph Liddle??

Any assistance would be appreciated please??
(I have spent 5 years on this and finally found the person)

Thanks Michelle

Also what Sylvia did say is perhaps he is buried near his brother james ?? Not that I can find where he is buried either??

I don't believe he had a brother James.

Not sure what sites you are using. But some links here to Familysearch.  It is free, but you do have to register.

1939 -Hannah & Harold Jackson can be found in 1939

Harold Jackson was a twin
these births -
Harold Jackson  dec qtr 1913 Burnley 8d 436
Lilly Jackson dec qtr 1913 Burnley 8d 436.  mmn RICHARDSON
(so Harold was a year out in 1939) But Lily got it right

William JACKSON and Clara RICHARDSON were married Burnley Mar qtr 1896

A son -  Latham Jackson  S. Qtr 1897, Burnley Union. Vol 08E page 163
1911 - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X4M2-8HY
(the twins must have been a big surprise!)

Anyway - Latham has a WW1 record that has survived
he married Dorothy HILLARY in 1919.  I don’t see that they had any children
and died 23 August 1976 there is a probate for him.  Cannot see his burial either. But perhaps it is he Harold was interred near.

William, Clara and Latham look as though they tried living in Canada. They are on a ship to Canada July 1906 going to Winnipeg Also an Elizabeth Jackson age 35, single - it might say “to stop with brother-in-law” not sure
and an Elizabeth A. Wilson age 18

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2Q3D-W5R.

Harold’s Twin Lily died in Halifax on 2 July 1964 (Lily HAIGH wife of Eric HAIGH)  They were married in 1938
Possibly a son in 1940 - Halifax and a daughter 1941 - would need certs to confirm - so they would be your m-in-law’s cousins.
Lily shows on Deceased on line  as a cremation https://www.deceasedonline.com/servlet/GSDOSearch?DetsView=Summary&src=ext&fileid=14024538

Hi and thanks so much. I  was looking at Ancestry and My Heritage and honestly just couldn't get info BUT was going by what my mother in law of 80 was telling me.
SO all information is purely by what was advised and thank goodness for this site as now beginning to put together.
Mother in law had stated he was one of a twn and could be buried near his brother james.

I have quite a bit to advise her on now and thanks for your patience. I appreciate it,
Cheers Michelle

It would cost you only £1.50 to buy.

Hi I more than prepared to do this??

Can you please advise as I have no idea. I have tried to use GRO for things and honestly very confusing

But more than happy to purchase if you could please assitst it would be terrific.

Also what Sylvia did say is perhaps he is buried near his brother james ?? Not that I can find where he is buried either??

Thanks Michelle

https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/

fill in all the info from that snip I posted.
the results page will look as if there are none.
But fear not - Scroll down further and you will see there is an image
click on it - the page opens and also the order form on the R.H.S.
Fill that in according to the info and then you should get directed for payment

At some point I think you might have to make an account
in a week or so you will get an email, you have to log in to your account and download the will.

Thank you for that. WIll do this in the morning. Cheers Michelle
