Hi i have ancestors called quick from east stonehouse devon and am trying to establish a link to jane quick who was on the titanic and survived, any help would be much appreciated. thanks

hi there,
thanks for replying. Yes i have death certificate and it states that an inquest was held on the 12/13th july 1885.  I was interested in  the main hull newspapers of that day. Only know of the Hull Daily Mail but dont know that first appeared in print

hi im trying to find out which newspaper would likely carry an inquest report on the death of henry tarbottom who died aged 42 in the hull asylum, willerby east yorkshire on the 12th july 1885. his death was reported as due to inflammation of the brain following a fall on the 9th july 1885
can anyone help

Thanks for getting back to me! Unfortunately i dont know much about him yet as I only recently found him on a marriage certificate for his daughter Elizabeth Moore who married John Henry Tarbotton July 2nd 1861 in st james church, holy trinity, hull. It just lists his name and deceased, with occupation as cork cutter.  I thought it may have something to do with ships/boats as Hull was a large fishing port.  I have tried 1851 census but so far have not found him.

My g g g grandfather Nathaniel Moore was a cork cutter in Hull pre 1861, does anyone have any information about him or his job please? Would be much appreciated
