Wow! I'd love to see that tree. One of my cousins has been researching too but also stumped at certain points. I'm sure we would be able to complete some information on that particular branch if there is any missing.

Essentially that makes us second cousins though? Am I right?

Thank you ever so much for the information - it is certainly clearing up a few questions I had. We knew about the skeleton just not in what form it took as, if I remember rightly, Grandad (Rupert) let slip a few details as he suffered from Alzheimers briefly before he died. I remember it rocked my mum a little.

I attach a picture of Rupert - no date but I would guess mid-late 20's and a postcard to Otway St sent from Arklow.

And, just in case, one of my favourite pictures - I don't know who these boys are but definitely family, difficult to put a time stamp on

To follow due to file size!

Hi Claire,

I'll  look through the photos and see if I can see any reference to Edith.

Rupert Wilfred Anson was mentioned in reply #14 of this thread so I assumed the connection and some of the other names are familiar to my family too. There was always talk of another side to my grandads family that we didn't know about and some research was done, so I think there is a connection...I'll try to find my mums family tree too. That may help

It's possible I may have a photograph - I wouldn't necessarily know her image but her name may well come up on one or two photographs I have inherited. Please see my other post!

Dear All,

I've just come across this discussion - Rupert Wilfrid Anson was my Grandfather. He was married to Lucy for over 60 years and had eight children, 2 died very young and of the others Ronald (died 2017), Peter (2016) Anthea (My mum - 2011), Joan (early 00's), Pauline and Jean still with us.

Rupert and Lucy lived in Garston/Speke area for many years and moved to Cheshire to be nearer to Joan and Anthea.

I've been looking for more information for a long time, notably since I saw a post on a similar site by a Pat McPartlin (McParlin?) also looking for my granddad. Stating that he was a long lost uncle - which makes sense as before he passed, there was rumour of a brother no one on our side was aware of.

My father passed in 2016 and I found dozens of photos, some dating back to early 20's with all manner of people no one can ID...maybe they can be of some use?
