Hi
Fascinating information.
My 7th ggf is David Barron, Stamfordham, 1714.
I am of the David>William 1756>William 1785>John 1825 line that immigrated to the US in 1800. Eventually ending up in Michigan. In wondering if there has been any new information on David, and ancestors/family in the Stamfordham area?
Thanks!

Thanks for the responses!
I will search the site. I’m also wondering if the parents could have moved from Scotland. I’ve heard there was some immigration to England from Scotland somewhere around this time due to unrest. Not sure hope if that’s true and how to make the leap from Stamfordham back one more generation.

Hi,
This is my first post so I apologize if it is in the wrong location. I am looking for information on my ancestor, David Barron. A farmer in Stamfordham. I know the following:

Born 1714
Married 30 Nov 1743, Kirk-Linton, Cumberland, England, Spouse Mary Graham
Children from this marriage John, Margaret, George, David, William, Joseph, Mary, Thomas, Matthew
Died 19 Mar 1796, Stamfordham, St Mary The Virgin, Northumberland, England

I have not been able to find anything further and no records for David or his parents.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Jim
