In think Pound Hall belonged to the Hyde Parkers of Melford Hall. My mother, Phyllis Travers, rented the house from 1938 to 1940, and I think Lady Hyde Parker, who was Danish, arranged for my sister Patience, later The Hon. Mrs. Gurth Addington, sister -in-law to the then Lord Sidmouth, to spend some time in Denmark.
