Galena
further to my earlier message, the six Boyd children you refer to all lived long lives.
My grandfather Frederick lived until the early 1980s. He married Jean Baxter Bell from Blairgowrie in 1927 and had two daughters Jean, my mother,  Born 1931 and Margaret Boyd my aunt born 1933 and still alive.
Martha lived to about 90 in South Africa and her granddaughter Elspeth is still alive. Lizzie was a teacher in St Andrews and Jessie a teacher in Perth. They lived long into their 80’s. Minnie was a nurse and latterly lived with Lizzie in St Andrews. She lived to 94 despite having only one lung from TB in 1918. John sadly was last heard of in the forties or fifties in the Chicago stockyards. My aunt margaret tried to trace him many years ago to no avail.
The cousin of these 6 siblings was John Boyd from Scone born 1888 and died 1936 in Belleville Canada. I am looking to find out if he has any surviving descendants, but have only just embarked on this search.
Hope that helps if you receive this message
