Can anyone help with my query please?

In the 1921 Census my Grandmother (Charlotte Stewart Wallace b 1899) lived at 43 Balgay Street as a boarder aged 22. Her employment was listed as Jute Spinner at Thomas Bill factory (I think that's the right surname) Could anyone help and give me a location of where the factory was locate in Dundee please, and are there any records available for the employees

Many Thanks for any information

Dave

Hi Dorrie, I did reply to her email asking about the 1907, but I haven't had a reply yet. When I do I will update the information

UPDATE
I had a reply from Laura at Dundeecity.gov for the burial for Robert.

I have found Robert Oram, 22 Balunie Drive, Dundee, died 08/03/1969, ashes interred 6th March 1907.  However, our records give his age as 72 years !  It names his spouse as Margaret S Black.  He is interred in Balgay Cemetery, Dundee, Section DD, lair number 183.

Unfortunately I still cannot find any records for Charlotte but I can confirm that she is not interred with Robert.

Age doesn't seem right, but that could of been a mistake by the person, relative arranging the cremation. Also might be a mistake of the interment date of 1907

Thank you for all your help on the post

Dave

Thank you very much GR2, for that information on the 3 burials. It's much appreciated

ORAM - BLACK. - At Dundee, on 24th inst., by
special license?

I'm wondering now why would a special license be required for a burial 🤔

Edit
I've got it now the last one was the marriage of Robert and Margaret. 😊

Kind Regards
Dave Oram

Your grandfather may have been cremated rather than buried.

Dundee Crematorium was opened in 1936 and is situated at McAlpine Road, Dundee.

Just an alternative to think about.

Dorrie

Thank you for that Dorrie. I will contact them to check
