Thanks anyway Peter. It is still good to know as I will now broaden my search to other counties. And sorry about getting your name wrong!

Chris if your offer still stands, I am looking for a marriage of James Bilton to Hannah (?). Their eldest son was born 1795 and was baptized in Runcorn but I was unable to find their marriage in the All Saints, Runcorn registers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Essex Completed Lookup Requests / Colchester miitary camp 1871
« on: Monday 13 March 06 20:01 GMT (UK)  »
In the 1871 census I have found a Richard Bilton, private age 34, born Runcorn, Cheshire. He was in "The Camp" Colchester 1st ward, St Botolph, Essex, no regiment given. The description page has a note "This enumeration is presumed to belong to 4/60th K.R.R. " and " No mention is made anywhere as to which regiment it represents". Does anyone know how to find out which regiment(s) would be there in 1871 so I can try to order film for his service records? Also what is the K.R.R. ?  My online search did not yield anything. Thanks in advance, Shirley.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / 1841 lookup Bilton, Arnell

Oops I think I posted this on the wrong page so I'll try again. I'm a newbie here, so hope I am doing it right!
Looking for John Bilton (often mistranscribed as Bitton) born 1826 Runcorn.
He married in 1846 at the parish church of Eccles to Ellen Arnell or Arnold, age unknown. The marriage cert gives their abodes as Pendleton but later census shows them in the New Cross section of Manchester.
The Pendleton film is unreadable so am hoping they turn up elsewhere.
All contibutions gratefully received! Shirley
