Hi the family were in Westbury on Severn in 1891 census, RG12/2004/60/2, has the birth registration Comfort JONES June qtr 1885 Westbury S 6a 261 mmn Davis been looked at?Thanks i will look into this. I often get mistaken when i say johns for jones. Being unable to read or write could have potentially led to jones being recorded instead of johns

Oh dear - they were in Monmouth on 1901, so this could be the youngest child's birth, but it isn't a lot of help as it gives his mother's maiden name as Johns!
JOHNS, MARK mmn JOHNS
1898 M Quarter
MONMOUTH
Volume 11A Page 24
The GRO Index Search has had Mother's Maiden Name showing for just over a year
This will be shown for almost all births between 1837 and 1916.
