Few years too late I know...
I have also been researching the talmages as I believe they are related to my family. The parents of Tobias talmage are Mary panting (1812) and john talmage (1812).
Mary panting is the daughter of john panting and Amelia rushen (1789-1871).
This then goes back to Thomas rushen (1748) and Mary plumb (1750), George rushen (1720) and Anne looker (1721), Andrew rushen (1687-1758).
I am trying to link the Rushen's to my current family but am struggling with finding more recent information. I appear to be missing a link between 1850 and now. If you have any info if you could let mme know
