Hi everyone, sorry just got online.  Parents are John Heard (1809) born, Pancrasweek, Devon and Anne Rudd (1809) born Tawstock, Devon.  So the marriage above is the parents. He was baptised on 26/03/1854, Barnstaple, Devon. He is Cellarman on the 1881 Census, living with parents at 7, Rackfield Passage, Barnstaple, Devon, England.  The elder sister Susanna married Joshua Taylor and one of the children of that marriage JF Taylor was a professional golfer and he moved to Surrey.  But I have failed to find him there!

Edward appears on the 1871 and 1881 Census (living with family) and then I can find no more information on a census, or a death.  Any help appreciated.  Thank you.

Sue, Thank you so much.  I will check to see now if she was married before.  Everything really helpful, and I very much appreciate it.

There are a lot of Hearn's from Northam.  It gets complicated.  And several ships carpenters etc.  Pretty certain my info. is right but will double check.  This John has been one of my problems.  And also Heard is a common name there.  My husbands gt. grandparents, were a Hearn to a Heard.  Luckily his father knew a lot of information before I ever started this, and even a family portrait of the Hearn to the Heard, and other knowledge from elderly aunts that have since passed, that made no sense at all, but have come to light.  Thanks for your input, its much appreciated.
