London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Hannah Louisa Outen b 1907 Tottenham
« on: Wednesday 31 December 25 11:09 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Everyone,

Ive hit the ‘brickwall’ with a relative of mine and wonder if anyone may kindly be able to help me find out what became of her, as it  is a mystery in our family.  Her name is Hannah Louisa Outen b 1907, Tottenham and by 1921 her family were living at 15 Waggon Lane,  with parents Charles Outen and Louisa. In 1931, (age 23), I believe she was living/working with a family at 50, Brook Street,Hammersmith, London. There is a rumour in our family that she later became an air stewardess, but I cannot confirm this.

Any information or guidance will be gratefully appreciated.
John

Hello everyone,

Ive been trying to find out what the attached photo of WW2 era medal issued to my uncle who was in the Royal Navy during WW2. Any assistance would be gratefully accepted. Ive search the 'net but can't find matching ribbon colours.

Hi Everyone

My relative Frederick Richard Turner enlisted in the 8th Bn Worcestershire Regiment in Oct 1914 and was discharged a year later as medically unfit. I have a copy of the medical report buy can't read it. I would be very grateful if someone could transcribe it so I can understand why he was discharged. Please refer attached document.

many thanks in advance

Once again everyone, I really do appreciate your input and can see a lot more research needs to be carried out to solve this properly.

Thank you for the information. I haven't researched the 1911, 1921 census yet .  That will be my next move.

Thank you for the information. Yes, on reflection, I can see that more research is needed. But speaking to older family members recently, we know for certain that Robert Scott later went by another name. My family say it was due to nature of his money-lending enterprise which made him extremely unpopular .
