Thanks Aussielass. The date 1894 to 1895 is around the date I would have guessed.

Thanks again Winnona

Can anyone recognize any of the people from their own family?
Is the same person in both photos and can you suggest a date for the photos?
Both photos have rounded corners see next post.

Hello everyone. Thank you for your help - it has been much appreciated.  We have been extremely busy with tradies coming and going.

The death card I mentioned is a post card size properly printed memorial card with the person's information, plus a very sad poem.  It is brown with gold printing.  I have another from another side of the family so am assuming these were the "thank you" cards of the day sent by the family to friends and relatives who either attended the funeral or sent written condolences.

The lists of names with dates have been very useful also.  Winona

Hello everyone.  Thank you all for your thoughts and comments, they have been very helpful. The dates seem to fit in with a few family members' thoughts.
Sorry for the delay in answering, but these last 10 days have been very hectic with tradies coming and going plus a few other things happening that have taken up a lot of time.  Winona

Sorry I got the spelling wrong.  It is Benison not Benson.

Would anyone have any details about the people in this photo - era when photo was taken.

Believed to be people from the Ladners family.

Australia / Ladners in Horsham around 1900
« on: Saturday 30 January 21 01:10 GMT (UK)  »
We have inherited a beautiful photo album from the Ladner family.  We believe it belonged to Arthur Ladner who lived in Horsham about 1900-1930.  The photos do not have any writing on them, so identification is almost impossible.

Arthur worked at Horsham on the railways and for a short time worked at North Melbourne.  His mother used to operate the gates at Horsham.  They both lived in the Horsham gate house.

Normal Ladner died 7/10/1910 in Charteris Towers Queensland.

Also there is a thank you death card for William Benson who died 4/6/1897 aged 29 years.

Would anyone have any idea who these people were please?
