Essex Completed Lookup Requests / 1841 Census Look-up Please!! Bird Family, Dedham

Please can anyone help me with my family.  I have got back as far as the 1851 census, to a Sarah Bird, but she is widowed by this stage, so don't know her husbands name.  Thought they might be on the 1841 census.  The details I have are as follows: (All birth years are approximations & all children born Dedham)
Sarah Bird b. 1807, Bradfield, Essex (maiden name unkown) Farm Labourer's Widow
Children:
George Bird - b. 1831
Charles Bird b. 1833 - Sailor
Sarah Bird  - b. 1836
Robert Bird  - b. 1840
Joseph Bird - b. 1841
Mary Bird  - b. 1844
Phoebe Bird  - b. 1846
Family is living in Pig Lane, Dedham in 1851 (Delightful name!)
Would really appreciate any help anyone can give me.
Kind regards

Herefordshire Lookup Requests / Re: Reed/Read Family - 1700's - Kentchurch
« on: Saturday 18 February 06 20:36 GMT (UK)  »
Hello Chilis - I am so sorry that I haven't replied to your very kind reply up until now, but I have a 2 year old who takes up most of my time!!  I am so grateful for the trouble that you have gone to for me  - the information is wonderful.
I was wondering if Ann Warnoll was likely to have been born is Weobley too?  I looked at the LDS Index for Woebley, and found 3 Ann Warnell's (obviously speling varies a little):

ANN WARNELL
Christening: 03 DEC 1717 Weobley, Hereford, England
 Parents: Philip Warnell & Eliz

 ANN WARNELL
Christening: 21 SEP 1718 Weobley, Hereford, England
Parents:  James Warnell & Ann

 ANN WARNEL
Christening: 21 OCT 1749 Weobley, Hereford, England
 Parents: Samuel Warnel & Mary

Since in the Marriage Bond you looked at Ann Warnoll was given as "twenty one years and upwards", does that make the last Ann Warnel the most likely option?  Would it have said "thirty ...... years and upwards". like John's, if she was older??

Thank you so much for all your help
Kind regards

Hi Cathy - what was your Aunt's first name (not Ivy - the Copperwheat who married the Tysoe?)

Hi Glen - my husband has a fax number - and that would be most kind of you to fax the prison records to us.   I shall get back to you later with the details.

Thanks both!
Kind regards

Hi Cathy - there was a Florence Ivy Copperwheat born in 1905 in Islington.  I can have a proper look for more possibilities later - do you know a wrough year of birth for her?  I will also get back to you on how I am related to the Copperwaite's.  You are very right about their name - I have so far come across Copperwaite, Copperwait, Copperwheat, Copperway, Coppermerl, Copperwayte, .......... and others - doesn't make searching very easy does it!!  I think that the people taking the census just spelt the names how they wanted!!
Kind regards

Wonderful Cathy - will look out for that one!!  It is so sad when you are looking through all this poverty and hardship - you can't help thinking of what they would think of you and your life!!  It is true that we don't know we are born.  I have just found my first relative who managed to pull themselves out of poverty, and became a Tea Dealer then a Magistrate.  It is so wonderful to see someone had a life without such hardship!!
Kind regards

Thanks so much Cathy - jolly gripping stuff!!  Do you know if Kew are able to provide copies of these records, and if they have someone to do the leg work for you............ I have a 2 year old, and live in Devon, so I'm having to pay for researchers left right and center!!
Kind regards
