Hi Pauline,Irish  ancestors are a challenge the way they kept altering names,eg my Mothers given name was Roseann but most of the family ,cousins etc only knew her as Ena. My cousins who live in Glasgow have allways gone by the name  Connor.and we have allways been O`Connor. If you would like to exchange e-mail address, mine is . (*).  All The Best for now .Tom.

Hi Georgianfan, (Pauline),Its good to hear from you .I was back in the UK for a  holiday in 09,and spent a week in Ireland. That area of Ireland where Caven,Fermanagh, & Monaghan meet is centered by the town of Clones, in which is ,the RC Parish for the area. In the 1901 Census my family was registered as Connors, but in the 1911 Census the same family are registered as O`Connor, and lived in house 8 in Clonmacken, which is in Fermanagh, but only a couple of miles from Clones. My grandparents Patrick & Mary where married in the Parish Church in Clones,& the marrage was registered in Monaghan.
All The Best for now .Tam.
