I am descended from Isabella Mcpherson, the daughter of Jane Drumond and John Mcpherson (married 08/09/1828 Campbeltown). Ambly has listed the 1841 census but Isabella is not showing, can anyone help with where she is then please ?. The previous posts are very interesting , I wasn't aware John Mcpherson was an excise man, and wondered why he moved from Campbeltown to Greenock but I suppose he would have moved with the job.
I would be grateful for any further info on Jane and John, there is a birth listed on the index on Scotlands people for Jane Drummond B 16/11/1800 Methven Perth(father listed as James) but not sure if this is her or not

After a number of years I am starting to look into my family history again on the Duffy/Owens side, and I'm a bit late onto this thread !
My Gt grandmother was Sarah Ellen McDonald
Her mother was Sarah Duffy B1847 Liverpool
Her mother was Jane Owens and Father James Duffy
Jane Owens mother was Eleanor Morgan and father Owen Owens
James Duffy was the eldest child of Elizabeth Martin ? and Edward Duffy
Ive not been able to find a marriage for Elizabeth and Edward Duffy, so presumably would have been Ireland. There is a death registered in 1842 of a Edward Duffy Liverpool, and cannot trace him on the 1851 census
would love to hear from anyone who has got any further info on the Duffys and Owens
