In Volume 3 Part 1 "A History of the Parish of Kiltarlity", there are detailed family trees of two families 1)Peter Fraser and Margaret Fraser and 2) James Fraser (b) c 1758 (d) after 1810 and Isobel McFarquahar  (b) c 1771 (d) after 1841 on page 111.  Their history of Wester Clunes starts on page 110. Details of the two who tied the two families  (Peter's and James' above), were Isabella Fraser and James Fraser (married Jan 30, 1812).  Tree shows 13 children.  On page 28 there is commentary on John Fraser, of Balachraggan, born in Wester Clunes 1828, died 1916 who represented the Clan for a portrait for Queen Victoria's instigation.  Has his picture also.

I've traced my relatives to Wester Clunes to early 1770's through 1841.  In 1851 they showed up at Lettoch.  There were multiple families at Wester Clunes many with the Fraser name, I'm sure many were related.  Visited there about 15 years ago.

The text is published by:  Kilmorack Heritage Assoc. , North Lodge, Beaufort, Beauly, Inverness, Scotland IV4 7BE.   Contact me if your family is there.

Alexandramac:  William and Helen with children Margaret, Duncan, Colin, & James are on the chart.

Irene:  I'm a Fraser.  Great grandfather:  Alexander(Wife:  Margaret), Grandfather: Simon.

From at least the 1770's until at least 1841 the family was located at Wester Clunes, in 1851 and 1861 they are at Lettoch, 1871 they are at Balnafoich and in 1881 they are in the village of Dores.

I'll be happy to get a copy of the picture to you.  Please PM me with your email.

My grandfather at age 60 was living at Balnafoich in 1871 with his family including my grandfather, age 8.  I visited there in 1990-beautiful view of Loch Ness!  I also have an old picture of the of the house with two women standing outside.  Captioned on the back is Mrs. Carl??? Mrs. F. Tyther.  There is no date.

Jessie Muir Fraser appears on the gravestone of Rev. William Fraser and Robina Muir MacBrayne in the Drumtemple Cemetery.  You can google this and scan down to view the stone and narrative .  (Thanks go to Ghostwisperer).  Jessie's birth certificate shows her last name as Cameron, as illegitimate, born May 19, 1881 in Glasgow and mother as Catherine Cameron.  Catherine's death certificate in 1933 shows her as the widow of Simon Fraser, Accountant.

Catherine (mother), Jessie Muir and her older sister Catherine Muir Fraser show up on later census reports with Jessie and her sister as grand daughters of Duncan and Catherine (nee MacTavish) Cameron at Boleskine (Fancereict).

The stone notes several children of William and Robina.  Missing are Janet Muir, and William.  It also notes a Simon who died in Glasgow in 1886.  I am assuming that this Simon is the father of Jessie and her sister, husband of Catherine and the grandson of William and Robina.  Who his parents were I do not know.  I could not find a death record for him in Glasgow in 1886.

For me, the person of interest in all this is Robina Muir MacBrayne.  I found a Rebecca with the same fathers name, with a date of birth one year off.  Would it make sense that she didn't like Rebecca and changed her name to Robina?  The hand written script is similar.  I looked at the original birth record and clearly the name is Rebecca.  Also Rev. William Fraser is noted as Chaplain to the 79th Highlanders during a period when I have a relative who served with this unit.

I am curious, however, as to who made the personal address to Jessie on the stone.

Also thanks to Annie for your interest and post.
