Hi Sinann and Gaffy...thank you so much for the information. Think I might be doing a bit better than I thought, as do have quite a bit of that information already! Apart from some things though and much appreciated. Knew my great grandparents John/Elizabeth had Maggie not shown on the census, but didnt know about Joseph! Also did come across my great grandfather's parents, but like you said, could be speculative...wasnt sure if going down correct road! Family stories passed down though was that 1 or 2 of my papa's brothers went to America? But the date of Michael Doyle on family cards that we have, is that he passed away in 1983 aged 70? We have thought though, as this happened on my nana's side that a sibling passed away, or never returned alive from America, (as we were under the impression it was Mikey)and they named a newborn the same name?? Strange but true lol!! Also know from a solicitors letter that my auntie just gave me that my nana's uncle James Cahill and wife (?) stayed in a family holding in Ballinvarry/Ballingarry, and on google map they are all around the same area. Know my nana initially stayed in The Rower, but came over here quite young. Hoping there are some relatives still over there, so it is more up to date family trail that I am trying to follow. This seems harder than great ancestors!! Just cant seem to find out how I can find family down the line, until the present date?? Can you help?? It seems that I have to go into local libraries, etc for up to date information. Dennis Doyle died in 1972 in Tinnapark and Michael Doyle in 1983 in Waterford. Plus their sister in law (Kathleen Doyle) in 1972 in Dundalk. So the search for family members might be a bit further afield. Waiting on a couple of letters been handed down from a family member which may shed some light. Absolutely fascinating and frustrating at the same time! And yeah Raheendonore is a place known in the family. Hoping to visit in summer to do some more digging! Thanks very much again and if you know how to get information to the present date, would be very grateful!
