In the baptism record of one of Michael CUMMINS siblings, I have found the surname of their mother: CALLAGHAN.

Many thanks for the hint.
I do find the baptisms of 3 siblings, born 1791 to 1805 in Dublin, St. Peter but ... not Edward!
I don't find the marriage of Edward's parents (Michael and Elizabeth BRETT) either.

I find the possible baptism of Michael CUMMINS (04 oct. 1761, Dublin, St. Michan), son of John and Margret, and his siblings
and of Elizabeth BRETT (21 janv. 1765, Dublin, St. Michan), daughter of Daniel and Margret NOWLAND, and her siblings
but I don't find their marriage.
I hope someone can help

Hello,

I am doing some research to help my brother-in-law.
Edward CUMMINS, one of his ancestors, was born in Dublin 1789.
He served in the Royal Navy, especially during the Napoleonic campaign in Spain.
He received the NGS Medal, Basque Roads 1809.
He married Margaret MOIR Oct 14 1839 in Banchory Ternan.
I only find 2 children Elizabeth b. 1840 in Birse and Ann b. 1851 in Banchory Ternan.
I don't find Edward's birth in Ireland his parents are Michael and Elizabeth BRETT (based on his death record).

Can anyone help?

Thank you for the correction.
Small detail: I find 2 marriages for James FINDLAY and Margaret RUXTON: 20/8/1826 in Foveran and 27/8/1826 in New Machar. Could that mean that the wedding took place in Foveran and was transcripted in New Machar registry the following week? Or that the marriage was announced in Foveran and took place in New Machar? Or...?

Indeed Robert FINDLAY 1835 had a brother James, born ca 1823.
However, I find him as farm labourer in the 1851 census. But for that reason he could not have emigrated to Canada in 1836.

This does not look positive...

Do you have other data about the FINDLAY family?
