Thank you. I'll aim to do that and hope it marries up with my existing tree.
Much appreciated GR2

PS can I ask how you found the last Thomson in Airdie - the carpenter please?
I'd like to trace him and see how (if) he fits in my tree? Thanks in advance

Sorry for the delay. I only got to login yesterday and see everything you have done in finishing this mammoth task.

Words aren't adequate to convey my own and my Mum's thanks to you.

We have had these documents for 7 years and were only made aware of them thanks to another member of this wonderful forum (Forfarian).

I really wish we could send you a card and gift in appreciation for your work transcribing these legal documents and helping us understand them.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

That's correct - Allan\Allen
From Mullingar, Westmeath

Soneone else said it was quite common for deceased to be listed in a census as people didn't understand the context but it's the first time I've come across it.

I do have their birth and death records.

ah right. They've said 8 out of their 9 children are living at 1911 which is also wrong as it was only 5.
Thanks anyway

On this census it shows two of my Gt Grandparents children who are deceased by this time. Is that possible?

I have a death record for Catherine Ann (twin of Mary Ann) who died 4 March 1900
and for Michael Loran who died 14 Sept 1900.

Yet both are shown on the census record.

My Gran became the second Catherine Loran when she was born 4 Feb 1903.
Maybe there was a second Michael Loran born around 1905 but there is no record of such.

Any ideas anyone?

Thank you.

Hi all, I have found all but one of my Grandfather's sibling's graves in New Monkland EXCEPT for:
William Brown, born 19 Dec 1895, died 6 March 1967
and his (2nd) wife (by irregular marriage), Elizabeth Rose Smith born 3 Sept 1892, died 1 March 1974.
Their address when they died was 33 Mavisbank St, Airdrie.

I have contacted the council office but she can't find them but I'm sure they must be there.
Other than visiting the cemetery office, can anyone shed any light please?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks GR2. So by my reckoning, these are the remaining sasines for translation, all preceded with RS42 are:
13/426-427 - the additional page I snipped yesterday I think it was
and:
14/5
14/123
14/334
16/367
18/140-141
21/181-182

Thanks and bets wishes
