To Jap I'm trying to find living relatives. I'm going to Scotland in August. I'm trying to find the children or grandchildren of William Ross and Williamina MacGregor who were married in 1926 at Tain. Also the decendants of Roderick Ross and Elizabeth Gunn who were married in 1931 at Spinningdale. Yes I use scotlandspeople.gov. I'm going to stay in Tain and I'm going to the Clan Ross Gathering there on August 12th and 13th.

Hello Pauline, I looked at the free BMD index and Bernard Cudlip Dennett is there. He is shown with this data : Greenwich 1d.1132.

the transcriber has listed where the info was from.
LDS-211-000-0951760/1894b1-146.tif

Obviously from family search. Latter day saints. But here is my problem, if I go to the family IGI site and search it there is no Bernard Dennett.

Thanks for the info. I had seen this entry on ancestry, but disreguarded it because Bernard Dennets' daughter told me her Dad didn't have a middle name. Also I was only looking for a Woolwich birth. This one says Greenwich.

Kent Lookup Requests / I can't find a Woolwich birth

I have found a little guy named BERNARD DENNETT on the 1901 census for Battersea, st philip, London. It says he was born in Woolwich. Help.

I've been looking for Bernard Dennet who came to Canada in 1909 with his Aunt Emma Evans. Or so we've been told, I'm starting to think something is funny here. I believe Bernard was born Dec 7 1893 according to his ww1 info. But why would he at age 15 or 16 have travelled with his single Aunt to Canada. Was she really his mom? I've done the ancestry.co.uk stuff and nothing on his birth. Is there a direct way to search Woolwich births in the 1800's?

I need a little help finding infor about my Scottish relatives. William Ross b.1843 married Margaret Munro b. 1851. They married in 1877 in Alness. Their children were Hugh, Hector, David, Flora, Alexander, William, and Roderick.  My grandfather was Alexander and he came to Canada in 1902.  William Ross died in 1928 age 96. This is the real puzzle I can find nothing on his parents who are listed as William Ross and Flora Ross also maiden surname Ross.  Are there any Ross's out there who know of these people ?  I can give you more info if needed.

I know of William Ross b.1838?who married Margaret Munro b.1851. They married 1877. They had Hugh, Hector, David, Flora, Alexander, William, Roderick.  My Grandfather was Alexander, he came to Canada in 1902.  Is any one out there who knows anything about these Ross's and Munro's. To be more specific they are from the Ardgy/Hilltown/Bonar areas. The youngest son Roderick married Elizabeth Gunn at Spinngdale in 1931.  The second to youngest William married Williamina Macgregor.
