Was Harriet married by 1841? To who? If you're lucky enough that she was married after civil registration then that would give you her father's name and occupation. If they were in Plymouth area then that does suggest possibly Navy (or Merchant Navy).

Her father was John hooper redstone is my direct great grandfather x 4 He was a soldier who fought in the 1812 war and was captured ..Harriots mother and daughter returned to England as a widow. But John survived and joined the US Rangers in 1814 and then ran wagon trains to California. I am descended from Harriot
