Information I have found -Elizabeth {Hale} died in Melbourne Victoria of TB in 1858 - Annie born 1834 Whitehaven England James sister was living there too is named on daughter Elizabeth's birth cert. in 1858 Elizabeth their daughter died in 1859 in Victoria. 
Next I find them in Sydney NSW - Annie married Henry Glassford Bell Clyne in 1862 in Sydney and brother George John born 1820 Whitehaven Cumberland England married Elizabeth Levy in 1851 Sydney.  He was a Captain of Ships died Sydney in 1859.
Found another sister Elizabeth born 1827 Whitehaven Cumberland England came to Australia married Captain David Williams in 1850 Sydney.  Elizabeth was the person who got Margaret born 1854 Hensingham Whitehaven out of the Children's home in 1862.  Son James born New South Wales in 1856 Parramatta remained in the Boys Home until adulthood.  Another brother Thomas Gordon born 1830 Whitehaven was also a Mariner Captain.  He married Sarah Maria Strachey Lewis in Middlesex England in 1854 he died in 1887 South Melbourne cannot find any children to Thomas.
On the release of Margaret from the Children's Home it states that Mother dead father pilot Sydney Heads had gone to the diggings.  It has him dead as well but then dead is crossed out cannot find where he died.  On Margaret's marriage to George Wilmot Johnson it states Margaret was living with her parents in Young NSW.
Cannot find were James died.  On Margarets death cert. Young NSW in states her parents as John and Margaret not James and Elizabeth.
