hello

Thanks for your reply. I have seen some of TVB's work and early photographs of Edinburgh. They are impressive, interesting and great value to anyone with an interest in old Edinburgh.

Ayrshire / Begbie surname Ayrshire

John Begbie is mentioned in Robert Burn's poem The Ordination.

Begbie was an innkeeper and vintner married to Anne Lauder with children born in Riccarton and Kilmarnock parishes - entries seen. Earliest child born 1778.

I cannot find his marriage to Anne - help please!!

In the Glasgow Herald deaths Nov 1831. "at King St, Kilmarnock, Mrs Begbie aged 76". I think this could be Anne's death so probably born 1755 or so. Married around 1770 - 1776

thanks

A

Hello

Was TVB related to the Begbie mentioned in Burns Poem the Ordination? Begbie the innkeeper lived in Kilmarnock.

Hi

How do you know if your ancestors medals were returned? All my grandparents are gone so nobody to ask.
