Galway / Madden’s of Garryduff, Killimor, Galway.
« on: Friday 30 August 19 17:13 BST (UK)  »
What I know
Patrick (sonny) Madden b.1900 d.1992 father Andrew Madden (stone mason) mother Maria Madden nee Kilkenny

1911 census says 9 children born 7 living

He Patrick Madden married a Maud Madden 25th Feb 1941 she died Feb 1953 aged 48
Marriage cert says she was a daughter of Michael Madden a sergeant in the R.I.C and location Ballinasloe so presume he was or either retired after the changes in 1922 after civil war.
Patrick (sonny) Madden 2nd marriage to a Molly  ? she died 23 Jan 1986 aged 80

What I don’t know
Where Michael was born and served  or what became of him as there were quite a few attacks on serving RIC personal 1919- 21 and thereafter.
Where Maud was born, is buried or if she had any children.
Molly’s family name or where she was born
when Andrew Madden died
Any help as per usual greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

Hallo ventabel,

I am too very interested in the Middleton's and of course Charlotte, C.W.Todd 1831- June 1892 his 1st wife , the possibility that his father George  owned the land/building that Middleton rented as a Pub as he George owned a lot of land and applied for licenses for said pubs because he had built many of them himself . they were of course vestry men in Chelsea and Battersea. looking forward to your reply.

Hi  Kiltaglassan and hallmark,
Again thanks for all your help I have made the same mistake on this tread as on the Conneely's for the same reasons many thanks for your input most helpful,
As i am newish and back on this site i have misled you and other's a bit by my brevity thinking i was helping others to help me!
I do not think Michael Barrett was ever in the British Army as he is known to have met and or known his wife in the Galway Regional Sanatorium where they both spent a number of years they were as per the census 7 Barrett children and 3 declared as having died.

hallmark, many thanks for your input most helpful, the link to the correct conneely's is:

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai003934097/

As i am newish and back on this site i have misled you and other's a bit by my brevity thinking i was helping others to help me!

I have most of the birth cert's, marriage certs for the Conneely's and some of the death cert's and have some travel documents too and from America.  But the UK side nothing but what i was told but unable to flesh that side out.

Galway / Patrick Conneely born in the claddagh galway 1921
« on: Wednesday 30 January 19 16:17 GMT (UK)  »
Patrick Conneely born in the claddagh galway 1921 and died 1974 in Galway.
His Mother was Ellen McDonagh m.1919  d.1975 who had married a Patrick Conneely m. 1919 d.1960
The Conneely's are in the census for the Claddagh, Fair Hill 1901-11 apart from that they are a bit vague, some of the children of Patrick and Bridget Conneely nee Dixon [parents]m.1876, both died 1921 went to America and some of the children of Patrick and Ellen McDonagh went to England some say to Aldershot, London and Coventry area.
Thank a lot for any help or guidance.
