thanks Hallmark!
I did check a secondary conversation but I noticed that nothing else has been posted by Luv since Oct 2016. I am not sure if she will see what I have added.
The secondary conversation does contain other information. Robert Moorhead, brother of Alexander (1859) did experience a similar unfortunate family situation. Both brothers appear to have lost their wives and had children. What seems very positive is that they did all come together to help. In the 1901 census, it appears that one of Robert's sons is with his mother in Co. Longford and the other is with his uncle in Co. Cork.
I am puzzled by something though. Alexander's children John W , Anne and William all went to Canada in the 1920's. Would you know how I could find out what happened to James Alexander?
I would appreciate any help.
