Hello

I would be extremely appreciative of any information regarding Hackett Sanitarium, which was located at 208 Albany Ave, Kingston, Ulster County, New York. Was this a tuberculosis hospital circa 1946?

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Rodeo

Hi Julie

The Andrew T Ross interred in Bent Cemetery on 7 December 1923 is indeed your Andrew Thompson Ross. I have just had a look at his death certificate, which reads as follows:

Andrew Thomson Ross, Art Student, Single, Age 19  Date, Place and Time of Death: 5:25 am, 5 December 1923, Western Infirmary, Glasgow  Usual Residence: Stonyfield Road, Blantyre  Parents: Robert Ross, Plumber, and Agnes Paterson Ross, Maiden Surname Harris  Cause of death: Tuberculosis The informant was Jean W Ross, Sister

I'll forward to you that certificate.

Cheers,

Rodeo

Hi Lodger

Thank you so much for the transcription. Yes, the letters after the name of Gavin Paterson Tennent would indeed be M.D. given that that he was a physician who, upon his death, bequeathed his entire estate to The University of Glasgow Faculty of Medicine, the Western Infirmary, the Royal Infirmary, the Victoria Infirmary and the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow. As he resided in Glasgow, I assumed he had been interred in a cemetery there.

Many thanks again, Lodger. Your kindness in posting this is greatly appreciated.

All the very best,

Rodeo

Hi Lodger

Thank you so much for the photo of the Tennent and Paterson headstone. They are indeed my relations. However, I'm unable to read the monumental inscription. I apologise for further imposing on your generosity but could you please post the transcription?

Many thanks, Lodger.

All the best,

Rodeo
