Thanks.
I have found that the marriage found by another contributor of Ethel M Sagar and Willie Green is very likely to be hers, the dates and places tie up, Willie Green appears on her sisters wedding cert as a witness.
I have ordered marriage cert to be sure.

Indeed a very common name, 'Sugars' is far less common but i have seen 'Sugar' written as 'Sagar' on certificates before.

Hi All

I have been looking for an ancestor for some time who just seemed to vanish post the 1911 census.
Ethel May Sugars born 1894 Lancashire, daughter of Henry Thomas Sugars & Ann Elizabeth (Lizzie) Sugars nee Reygate.
I have managed to get a copy of the burial plot in Nelson, Lancs where her mother and father are buried and to my surprise an Ethel May Green is also buried there who died in 1920 aged 26 so clearly she got married, this is where the trail goes cold i can find no marriage whatsoever and if they had any children, all i can find is a Lizzie Green born and died 1920 in the same area, Lizzie was her mothers name.
I obtained the a marriage certificate of her sister Edith Catherine from 1927 again in Nelson, Lancs and it is witnessed by Willie & Mary A Green, the first time i have seen any Greens in the family.
Any help would be appreciated.

I see this is an old thread but i will reply anyway.
I have been researching my family as HD runs in my line too, i have family now in their 20s with HD, i have traced it back to the 1800's when many family died in asylums in their 40's clearly with HD as the strain in our family starts early and most die mid 40's.
If there is anything i can do to help please let me know.

Sorry yes, 'J W Sugars' marked down as 'son' however this was his grandson as the 1911 census shows, he was the son of Edith Catherine Sugars, unknown father.
