Perthshire / Re: Scottish records - am I missing something?

Hi Alan: also others already contributing to me on this site.
I would definitely appreciate your assistance.
I am seraching for my great great grandfather William Anderson, born about 1812-1813 and died about 1846, both dates presumably in Perthshire.
I have been trying to find information for him for many years and the 1841 census record is the only document that has some information about him, and some of this information is in question.
My great grandfather William Stewart Anderson (the "Stewart" name may nave been added in Canada) was born 24 March 1846 in Doune, Perthshire. His birth record states his father is deceased. Therefore, his father must have died between September 1845 and March 1846. This is based on my opinion from what I see in the records.
There are no records on ScotlandsPeople that indicate his death. Having said this, I have not searched on ScotlandsPeople for about a year. Maybe records are still being entered on ScotlandsPeople site. It is not that long ago that I found my great great grandmothers death record after looking for many years for it.
Also I have not found a cemetery record that fits. Through this site I have had a person search cemeteries in and near Doune, and through a person on this site I have obtained cemetery records. So it is obvious my searches to date are not producing answers.
It is a remote possibility that a record of William's death may have been included in a newspaper.
As said previously, a general search for William Anderson in the Falkirk Herald did not produce any results, even close. William was a grocer and there are a few grocers noted but not my ancestor.
You can see my recent response to a posting under "William Anderson and Janet Stewart", just a few postings below this one we are on. I am fairly certain the author "doun" has passed away. He has a few more postings that have gone unanswered. I may even know his real name.
I repeat, I would definitely appreciate any help.
I also appreciate that everyone is busy so I do not expect anyone to spend too much time helping me. But I do look forward to your assistance and, if needed, I will provide addition information.
All the best, Dave
