I don't know who my grandfather was. Based on the DNA it would probably be either a son or grandson of George McClelland

Hi. Yes. I think George & Eliza may be my great grandparents. They had 8 children that I know of. I’m trying to find out more about their children, like where they lived. I know a few of the girls moved to north down, but not sure of where the others would have ended up.

Have done an ancestry DNA test which shows me to be a very close match to the McClelland family from cloveneden Loughgall. Would anyone have information on them?

Has anyone got a breakdown of the "N.R. District codes" for northern Ireland in the 1939 register?

She probably would have been married before 1852 as this is the date she had her first child.
Children were
Mary Ann Mullen 1852
Eliza 1854
Bridget 1859
Daniel 1861
Matilda 1864
John 1869
Mary 1872

I didn't see any other hillocks as god parents in the baptism records which made me think she either wasn't from the area or maybe was a convert.

Hi.  Am also struggling with Hillock from this area. My great great grandmother was called Matilda Hillock. She was married to my great great grandfather Francis Mullen. I have not found any marriage record and don't know any names for her relatives. All the children were baptised RC

Hi. I also have family born in Armagh workhouse.  One source of information is the public records office in Northern Ireland, they have some records for Armagh workhouse. The next best thing is to try and and find a baptism record. A birth certificate usually doesn't name an illigetimate father but baptism records may say the name of the supposed father.
