Technical Help / Re: Windows 10 - The Eagle has landed!

I've got FTM2014 running without any dramas.

Harry
It would seem that you are one of the luckier ones.
I did a search on FTM2014 AND W10 and there's quite a lot of moaning going on.

I've given up!
W10 installed itself Thursday. Everything seemed OK but I couldn't get FTM2014 to work (except in pedigree mode) so I have reverted to W7.
I'll probably go back to 10 when Ancestry have fixed it.

Technical Help / Re: Windows 10 arrives July!
« on: Friday 07 August 15 15:31 BST (UK)  »
My PC updated itself yesterday although I had told it i wanted to do it on Saturday morning  ???
I never had Windows 8/8.1 so I was a little concerned about familiarisation but so far it hasn't caused me too much grief.
Family Tree Maker 2014 keeps crashing. It seems to be quite a common problem. I don't suppose Ancestry's I.T. bods had enough time (more than 6 months?) to make sure it would work ::)
I now have to hold down the shift key when I want to shut down.

Many thanks for the replies and ideas.

If they did think that he wasn't going to survive, then they were happily mistaken.
He lived until January, 1841.

My apologies for not having replied to the last three messages. For some reason I did not receive any notification.
I shall have to try and get my head round this branch of the tree again. I hadn't looked at it for a couple of years!

Kay
I wonder if the youngest child was from the second husband!
Kay
Quite likely!
John Oldershaw's 1st wife (also called Sarah) had 10 children that I know of. She had died in Q2 1858 so they were both widowed at that time.
